The Shout
So, did some digging on our problem shout.
Looks like Shoutmix itself is going down permanently.
There's an alternative called Chatango. Took the liberty of getting one set up, but I don't have the access to embed it.

Thanks for figuring that out GS.
I've had some personal issues to deal with this week and hadn't been able to get to the bottom of the Shout failures yet, so now I know what's needed.
I tried plugging that code in a couple of different ways but couldn't get it to work. Can you try and generate it again or in a different format perhaps?

sure, I think maybe it might be the sizing that could be screwing it up. I'm kinda winging how big it "should" be.

Didn't know that when I PM'd you about the shouts issues. Shout's secondary to real world Deino. It's not going to hurt us being without one for a week or two.
I havent dabbled in HTML in over 10 years. You'd think Id have remembered some the way they crammed it into us before I got my BS degree. (PUN INTENDED )

Yeah, no, couldn't get that to work either.
You should be able to plug that in yourself. If you go into your CONTROL PANEL under BOARD MANAGEMENT, if you have admin poptins theres a button marked EDIT LAYOUT / COLORS OF YOUR BOARD and then a button MANAGE CUSTOM HTML CONTENT. Most code is worked through that.
Or if you're feeling brave you can fiddle with the MANAGE CUSTOM STYLE SHEET (CSS) button.
I've been monkeying with the permissions this morning so hopefully that works.
As to the things going on over here in reality, thanks for the words of support. It's not any one thing that's catastrophic, just a maelstrom of several intense and immediately serious things happening all at once. So I appreciate it when others step-up to handle secondary stuff that I usually do. :rs

I may have overlooked them but I didn't see any actual control options in my mod panel. Granted, I was also coming off of an 11 hour shift and havent slept well, but :lol
I've got Tuesday off from my real world job so I can do some tinkering, see if I can't figure it out.
...or the normal shout could just come back anyways. Maybe they resolved their financial woes? :lol

All i have is the ability to ban/unban and look at traffic patterns.

I'm messing with it. It has some neat features, like direct image links get thumbnails (gif thumbnails are animated to). Mobile app kind of sucks though. Going to mess around with it more tomorrow.

See, I kept trying to promote you and it kept telling me that you were already an Admin.
I'll keep working at it to see if I can make it work when I get a chance, especially since you guys seem to like it. If I can't manage, I'll block out some time this weekend to search for and implement something new.
I'd hate to displace all you Shout Regulars

Bizarre. I even tried the ol' sign out/clear cache thing to see if that cleared it up and yeah, still saying I'm a moderator. :uhh
I can look for other alternatives as well but without quirkyass runboard letting me actually IN I guess it's all you :P
