Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming

I really, really like the Vulture suit, and the fact that Batman is now playing a Spider-Man villain makes me snicker.

Also, between Vulture and the leaked shots of Shocker, I'm liking the design aesthetic for the Spidey rogues so far. They look more down to Earth compared to Avengers villains.

The Vulture rig looks like Sam's falcon rig on roids.
So Either a Prototype or possibly a combat version (The Falcon rig was for battle field rescue)

Also like the costume, looks like Tony made it using the same stuff as the Plug Suits in Eva emoticon

Liking it, liking it...

Though, apparently Pete's friend there is Ned Leeds, but he looks like Ganke, Miles Morales' friend.

Now, Leeds could be a cover, and that IS Ganke, and they'll use him as a way to introduce Miles later on. But that's just a wacky theory at this point.

Vulture looks awesome and I totally see the possible Falcon connection too.

But yeah, on the whole, digging it. Will look forward to it, unlike the last few Spidey attempts. emoticon

Just saw this today. It was...SPECTACULAR!

That's right, I went there, who wants some?!

So, some spoilery stuff involved below. Read cautiously.

You ready? 'cause here it comes.

There's not a lot bad I can say about this. I think maybe Pete's suit was a little TOO tech-leaned. I mean, yeah, it was from Stark, but it was a bit less grassroots than I'm used to Spidey being. But it worked for him as he "found himself" in the role. And I find it funny they essentially took Miles' buddy Ganke and called him Ned Leeds. I mean, the ethnicity and physique was enough, but then the LEGO fixation?!

LOVED the surprises and misdirects here. Totally thought Liz was going to be -Allen, and I figured Michelle would've been that chick Pete roomed with post Brand New Day that he fake-drunk slept with because--dear lord, that was moronic.

Anyway, Keaton as Vulture was great. This guy has not lost it.

Loved Donald Glover in the film. My brother thought maybe he was Miles (though he hasn't read any comics with him), but when we got back to his car, I remembered Glover said he had a nephew, and I figured...maybe he's Miles' uncle?

I think the chronology may be off. This takes place eight years after Loki's invasion, and two months after Civil War, so it's...2020?

Also, who expected that dash of pepper at the end?

Man, I've been wanting the Blu-ray since Pete's movie at the beginning.
