Torrent recommendations?

So, getting my computer back from the shop, having to reinstall Windows 7, I'm trying to piece my stuff back together, and I notice it doesn't have Microsoft word on it. I could try paying $150 for the latest version, but I'd be fine with just 07. I checked a couple videos on YouTube (the second one suggested downloading a copy from Word Online, and that just gave me WordPad), and one suggested a torrent service.

Now, I've used torrents before, just not on this computer, and it was something my bro set up. So are there any torrents in particular that are good, and won't end up in my system getting compromised?

Thanks in advance.

You can always try Open Office. It a free suite of software that has all of the office programs included. It's not Microsoft office, but a 3rd party KO. So to speak.

I'm just concerned how it'll open my pre-existing Word documents. WordPad reacted...strangely...to something I'd saved on Word 07, but then re-saved on an Word version from my laptop, working in Compatibility Mode.

Open office is compatible with and can even save as Word documents. It's all I use and never had a issue.

I use LibreOffice myself. Sometimes the formatting is a little off when saving a Word document but it is easy to fix...

I appreciate the advice. I decided to go with the OpenOffice, and it looks like it'll do the trick. Interesting fonts on that one.

There is a trial for the Microsoft Office 365 on my computer, which was surprising given the 7 reinstall, and I considered giving that a shot; maybe, like MalwareBytes, i can still use it to a degree after the trial is up. But on a hunch, I did a search, and it seems (according to people that let their subscriptions lapse, that any document I create with it, can only be viewed, but can't be edited, after expiration. I guess I can kind of understand that from a business perspective, but still...maybe if things were/get different, I might be will to at least do a one-time payment...but not right now...
