I'd catch it here and there on Comedy Central, but I never deliberately followed it. My loss right? I loved this new season though. Felicia Day is adorable as always. It bothers me somewhat that the only thing they could think to do with her character is have her try to get married while another guy pines after her. With her being one of the few prominent women in geek culture, I wish they'd done something else, but the way it's done is off kilter enough to keep it from being too bad. I agree with the point about the voices being too similar. It was kind of hard to keep track of who was talking without looking to see which robot was animating. And I'm in love with this new direction. It's not as good as Joel's run, but I think it's better than Mike's Comedy Central run. And far better than the Sci-Fi run. (And I liked the Mike run.) Like what many have said, it takes a little getting used to with the voices, but I eventually did. The jokes, ore often than not, landed with me. Oh. My. God. I fucking LOVED Starcrash!! I remember that piece o'shit from my childhood. (My local network played it a ton of times!) And it was awesome to see again. I understand Shout Factory has a lot to do with the movie selections this time around, and I'm coolio with that. Thing that makes me the happiest is that now that it's on Netflix... The likelihood of multiple seasons are VERY high. :) Push the button, Max.nondisclosed_email@example.com (MachSabre)Mon, 01 May 2017 15:35:29 +0000 Re: Push the "Donate" button, Frank.https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295883,from=rss#post295883https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295883,from=rss#post295883My only issue....I think "The Land that Time Forgot" is actually a pretty good movie. :goji quote:Oh, and I love that more people have now been traumatized by the unforgettable end of Yongary. :lol Yeesh..... nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gojitron)Mon, 01 May 2017 10:06:03 +0000 Re: Push the "Donate" button, Frank.https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295882,from=rss#post295882https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295882,from=rss#post295882quote:Lord Zarak wrote: Thought I'd reappear to mention that last week, I got to visit the set of the revived MST3K. I got to talk with him, and he was funny and seemed enthusiastic about being a part of the new season. Just finished with the last episode myself and made sure to watch through the credits. ;) So, in summary of this new season; I loved it. It'll be easier to pick at the couple small issues I had instead of list off all the stuff I liked so here hey are. Firstly, it took a bit to get used to a new host at the same time as two new robot voices. I eventually did, but even through 14 episodes their pitch and delivery still seems a little too similar to each other. Also, the jokes in the previous episodes seemed a lot more esoteric and wide-ranging. Seem to be a lot of geek-centric pop-culture references now, but still hilarious. Oh, and I love that more people have now been traumatized by the unforgettable end of Yongary. :lol nondisclosed_email@example.com (Deinonychus)Sun, 30 Apr 2017 23:56:50 +0000 Re: Push the "Donate" button, Frank.https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295835,from=rss#post295835https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295835,from=rss#post295835Episode 1.....REPTILICUS! :goji nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gojitron)Fri, 14 Apr 2017 23:06:22 +0000 Re: Push the "Donate" button, Frank.https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295759,from=rss#post295759https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295759,from=rss#post295759MOVIE SIGN!!!! nondisclosed_email@example.com (GalaxyPaladin)Wed, 22 Mar 2017 18:00:54 +0000 Re: Push the "Donate" button, Frank.https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295677,from=rss#post295677https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295677,from=rss#post295677Robot roll-call! https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/02/mst3k-revival-officially-announces-april-premiere.html New season begins April 14, exclusive to Netflix. nondisclosed_email@example.com (GalaxyPaladin)Wed, 22 Feb 2017 21:05:09 +0000 Re: Push the "Donate" button, Frank.https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295249,from=rss#post295249https://bdeinonychusden.runboard.com/p295249,from=rss#post295249Thought I'd reappear to mention that last week, I got to visit the set of the revived MST3K.
