Robots in Disguise: Gold Armor Grimlock (G1 style)
If you've messed with Warrior Class Grimlock, you know what the toy is, but the color scheme is nice and G1-accurate. Mine doesn't seem to have the arm version my green one did, but we'll see.

A couple Meijer stores have opened in neighboring areas (each is a minimum of 20 minutes from the house, one on the way to Mitchell International Airport, where we pick up/drop off Dad every fortnight). So, with a special "$10 off $50 purchase" coupon, I trekked to see if the had $50 worth of stuff to buy.
4 Picture frames (various sizes):
I've been needing the right sizes, and even though one is a little big for the picture, it's the best I could find.
Adventures of Superman wall plaque:
I have two other comic cover plaques, One Batman #1 (Bats swinging over Gotham alongside Robin) and X-Men 100 (two teams of X-Men facing, off, with the "betrayer" Prof. X between them). Those were gifts, and I thought it'd be cool to pick this one up. It's an iconic, classic pic of Superman with a bald eagle landing on his arm. They had other old-school covers there for Cap America, Iron Man, Hulk, and surprisingly, a more modern Wonder Woman (pre-Flashpoint, 2000's era) and an Action Comics...New52 era (ew).
Junk food:
Mostly to get to the $50 mark. A couple cans of Pringles (Lightly Salted and Cheeseburger...the latter bought from curious trepidation) and Little Debbie Red Velvet snack cakes (...RED VELVET!).
And, the primary reason I visited this store...12 years in Wisconsin and no grocery store in the area has carried it. Something I hope tastes the same, because four of the five I bought are currently in the freezer...
At long last...

Value Village had its best score for me yet. Found a bag with some broken Constructicons, and behind it was five mire bags of G1 bots.
$30 later I had all of this!
They had more, like a broken trailer for Powermaster OP, and more broken stuff.
Quick Switch is like mint, and I love me some Combiners!

Yesterday: eBay - Dragon Box Z vol. 7
It's frayed at the top of the spine and one the disc-holders is missing the Push button. It would've been nice if the seller was more detailed, but it seems to hold the disc. Won't know how the play until I actually play them...eventually.
Today: After I saw Inside Out (fun and a bit of a thinker), I swung by Kohl's (Dad gave me a $30 Off coupon he'd receive), and picked up 3 new pairs of pants (one of which is denim, which I never wear, but I figured, why not?) and a Superman shirt that caught my eye. It's a Large, so it might be a tad snug, but we shall see. All off clearance racks.
Tomorrow: Comics.
That's right, I can see the future!!!

Autograph haul from Connecticut Comic Con held at Mohegan Sun (you know comic cons have arrived when the Indian casinos want in). Gorgeous venue, extremely well organized, emphasis on actual comics, best con I've been to.
Kevin Conroy and Larry Kenney. Voice actors are the nicest people. Conroy says he'd like to come back and do the Killing Joke animated with Hamill, but do we want the memories of B:TAS tainted with Alan Moore's violence and misogyny?
Got the Superman wedding issue signed by 5 of the creators, Mike Carlin, Dan Jurgens, Louise Simonson, Jon Bogdonove and Jerry Ordway. Jurgens told me that the Nu52 will be returning the Lois & Clark relationship.
Mick Zeck
Jerry Ordway, Graham Nolan and Roy Thomas. Thomas told me we were this close to a Captain Carrot animated series.
Scott Hanna, Greg Pak and Walt Simonson. Hanna's wife was cosplaying Rainbow Dash and taking pictures with kids. Very Cool.
