Due to rising cost and lowering funds. I have scaled way back. I have actually been selling off a lot of my figures. I will still get the occasional GL figure, but I have Scaled back to masterpiece figures (or the KO's rather) and the Generation figures. Unfortunatly, with combiner wars, that has backfired on me. Hasbro is going to rape my wallet this year.

I still collect but mainly Transformers, Marvel 3.75" Spider-Man figures, and Diamond Select electronic Enterprises.

Due to money and room I had to drop collecting GI Joe (also, I saw the writing on the wall and sold off what Joes I had) and Hot Wheels (also got tired being labeled as a "bad" collector). TF wise, I have narrowed my focus to just Generations and an occasional MP and Marvel, I focus on just different costume 3.75" Spidey figures. As for Star Trek, just need a Diamond Enterprise C and NX-01 and that part will be complete.

I've cut way back. I haven't bought anything Transformers, Kamen Rider or Sentai in quite a while. I dropped my Eaglemoss Star Trek subscription because I had most of what I wanted out of it, and the rest I can get as one-offs from BBTS when/if they come out. Mostly what I've been doing is buying and building Gundam models. I figure that's a better use of money since I get a project out of it instead of just tossing it on a shelf with all the other !@#$ I've bought. I've been doing one Master Grade kit per month, though a friend bought me the old 1/144 Deathscythe Hell Custom which was a fun throwback. Took a fair amount of painting to get that old guy up to snuff. The only toy line I've really been keeping up with is the SH Figuarts Sailor Moon stuff, since they only do a couple of those a year.

Transformers have taken over as my priority.

Still interested in bloks, and Joes, most anything Neca, and Gundam.

Plus I am always looking to add more gems of the 80's to my collection, just so I can have a nice display of a few pieces from the best of the 80's toys.

Down to almost nothing. Between making much less money these days and having no place to put them anyways, I'm finally getting around to doing some much needed pruning, though there's a few CW pieces that are going to be hard (and in Devy's case, moratorium breaking impossible) to resist.

Ugh, yeah. Devastator. I am not into hunting down individual figures trying to complete sets, but if I run across a full set of 6 somewhere that isn't insanely overpriced, it'll be hard to say no.

In the spirit of being the enabling bastard, he's being released in a box set --- thus no scalpers to jack up the price of whichever limb Hasbro thinks is a good idea to shortpack.

Actually ramping up compared to previously, mostly due to having a decent job for the first time in a while, being ahead on bills, nearly got the college loans and car paid off... it's pretty good.

Video games don't take up much space, and I've dialed back on DVDs and such to stuff I'd actively buy. For instance, I don't own half the recent Marvel films because I haven't watched the ones I have in ages.

Physical items tend to be three categories: TFs, Figma, and FiguArts.

Figma are amazingly poseable figures and my desk has a line of them just in front of my monitors. FiguArts are kind of in the same category, mainly their Sailor Moon line that Trium's reviewed here.

Transformers weren't a big thing for a long time, but Combiner Wars seems to be Hasbro's attempt to go "please! Your expendable funds! GIVE THEM TO US!" and I see the combiners and Ultra Magnus and I go "Dammit, Hasbro, let me give you my money!" Now if I can win the fight with distributors, I can look into clear out display space to put all the stuff, as well as pruning previous collection stuff for things I don't even want anymore (Cybertron Metroplex, anyone?)

Over here the focus is mainly on blocks. Just this year I've decided to go from a theme completest to just the sets I really want, mostly thanks to LEGO getting a little too free with the high price-point sets. So on the LEGO side I'm pulling in Star Wars, Marvel and DC Superheroes, Legends of Chima, and random things here and there. Mega Bloks is Halo and Call of Duty. Then there are the foreign military sets from the likes of Cobi, Sluban and Kazi.

Image

Non-block stuff is pretty thin, but I'm still snagging the blind-bag My Little Pony figs. That looks like it's going to slow down here soon due to the repeat figs in the new waves.

Image

I'm also keeping up with Bandai Godzilla vinyls whenever they can be arsed to release any, and the NECA figures are a nice balance between those the SH Monsterarts figures I definitely can't afford.

Image

Also digging the new 1:35 scale dinosaur figures from Rebor. Just Yutyrannus and Tyrannosaurus at the moment, but Utahrptor is imminent and Ceratosaurus and Acrocanthosaurus are on the way.

Image

Transformers are pretty much done for me. Age of Extinction cured me of Grimlock completism, and I really only buy figures that are More Than Meets the Eye related like Swerve or Tailgate or the forthcoming Ultra Magnus. Trouble is, I see Transformers that look awesome online, then I see them in the store and the price tags attached and think better of it. emoticon
