Jetfire Chrome removal.

So, we all have seen that the US version of Jetfire has that awful vacumolded chrome where as the Takara version is just red plastic.
Well, I decided to try the chrome removal process last month to see if it would be easy.

Add a tiny bit of black paint and clear it.
Looks just like the Takara version, but with out the Takara tax.

Really easy to do. Soak the parts in a little plastic bin of denatured alcohol. That eats the paint off to the silver chrome underneath.
Then soak the parts in Castrol Super Clean. It's an industrial strength degreaser. That strips the chrome off to the bare red plastic. Wash it off and let it dry. Then I added a semi gloss clear coat after the barrels were painted.
