Can you recommend me a router?
I haven't been around much. I've been busy, especially since I recently moved out and got my own apartment (Huzzah!). The biggest problem with that though is that the place does not have wireless. I need to buy a router so I can get my Xbox back online, but I have no clue what brands are good or what model of router I need to get. Anybody here have any suggestions?

Re: Can you recommend me a router?
Apple Airport Extreme — Whether you have a Mac or a PC, they're easy to set up, easy to manage, and high reliability. Has dual-band 802.11n, gigabit ethernet. You can share a hard drive or a printer off it. What I'm using at home currently. It's expensive though, and some of what makes me like it so much is how well it integrates with my Mac environment. For example, if I enable a service in OS X Server, the server will reach out and set up the proper port forward in the router. I could also set up RADIUS/802.1x WiFi authentication with like two clicks. That means nothing to you, but trust me its fuckin bad ass from a security perspective.
Netgear N750 — Does much the same as what the Airport does, but at a lower cost. Netgear's user interface, especially the new one, kinda sucks, and the build quality isn't as high. That's the trade off. I had bought one of these originally but wound up returning it. That was mostly because the new Netgear interface didn't allow me to modify the router's DHCP server in a way that would jive with me running a local DNS caching server. You probably don't need to worry about that though.
