From NYCC....

quote:

We have wrapped production on all of the remaining Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes, and while that might be sad news in one way, it’s good news in another. It means you will finally get to see them. When, exactly, is a detail I cannot yet share. I can confirm that in early 2014 you will be watching the final episodes of The Clone Wars, including one of Master Yoda’s most challenging missions.

I'm surprised there were any more episodes. Sure, the thing with Sidious and the Sith Brothers wasn't particularly resolved, but I still felt it ended on a decent enough note.

I'm curious if when, and what channel, they'll air it.

I'm gonna laugh if the last ep they were able to finish ends on an epic cliffhanger. :P

I doubt it will tie up any of the loose ends. How many episodes are in this new batch? I thought the show had finished and everything had been aired.

TWO YEARS LATER. . . .

I'm resuming my Clone Wars marathon where I left off- Season 3, episode 3: Supply Lines.

Having just returned from DisneyLand and having gotten to ride Star Tours and see a bunch of little kids fight Darth Vader and Darth Maul, I feel my interest and enthusiasm for Star Wars renewed!

And I do remember thinking that season 2 was a big improvement over season 1 when it came to developing the characters. So hopefully that will continue. Anyway, watched ARC Troopers tonight. I forgot that I had already watched it, but that was 2 years ago anyway. Time to mow through this thing (And this time I have Netflix, so I won't have to hunt down every episode).

FROM DISNEYLAND!

making headway into season 3:

Supply Lines:
- I feel like the real thrust of this episode was with Master Di and the Clone general. But instead, the episode focused almost entirely on Senator Organa and Jar Jar Binks. The tragedy of Master Di clinging desperately to hope that the Republic would arrive with supplies in time was far more interesting (and sad) than anything else that happened.

Sphere of Influence
- Meh. When Anakin and Padme show so l;ittle concern and surprise at the kidnapping of some Senator's daughters, it's hard to care myself. Really just a ho-hum episode. And I have a really hard time believing that the Senator guy is friends with Jabba.

Corruption:
- Any time they go to Mandalore and say hi to Satine, it's cause for concern. The best thing to come out of this episode, is they took that stupid headdress off of Satine (the one that looked like it was made out of bell flowers). She's got bell flowers & Padme often wears her hair up like a cornucopia. Lol. Poison tea and as much subtlety as a brick handling the theme of greed. God she's so boring. Oh my god, if they say "corruption" one more time. . .

The Academy:
- God DAMN! They just won't stop saying "corruption." 4 times in the first frickin' minute! Otherwise a decent ep.

I like to read the credits on each episode, just to see if there are any voice actors I recognize. Well I just finished "Evil Plans" and the cake baking droid was played by Duff Goldman, the Ace of Cakes! LOL I thought it was pretty awesome :D They should've worked his laugh in there somewhere.

Assassin: A good episode. I enjoyed this one quite a lot. The focus on Ahsoka and her visions and her intent on changing the outcome of her visions was great. Probably best realized, when she busts into Padme's room at night weilding her lightsaber. No regard for how those around her might think she's gone crazy. She's just hella' determined to make sure Padme' lives. Good stuff.

Evil Plans: Haven't we seen an episode, where R2 and C3PO were running around because of a cake or dessert before? Or maybe I'm remembering this ep from way back, when I first saw it. Anyway, it's uh. . . not the worst thing ever. Still got a kick out of hearing Duff Goldman do a voice.

Hunt For Ziro: I liked it. Everything was pretty good except for the interaction between Obi Wan and Quinlan. Seriously, does Obi Wan just hate working with people? Anakin could've easily stood in for Quinlan since he's already a rebellious rule breaker, and nothing about the ep would've changed. It would've been funnier, if Quinnlan was even more strict about the rules and turned his nose up at how wreckless and fancy free Obi Wan is. And Obi would be like, "Whaaat???" Anyway, Sy Snootles was cute. The Hutts were all cool. Half naked Twi-lek dancers are always nice. Bayous and rednecks- good stuff.

Heroes on Both Sides: I wasn't looking forward to seeing this one again, because I detest Lux. But it turned out he wasn't so bad afterall. Barely in it, even. I do think it's funny, that this is the ep that Ahsoka debuted her new outfit with the cleavage window, and right away they have a guy checking her out. Like, they know. Anyway, this ep was fairly boring. All the politics and debates and constant talking about deregulating the banks. Dull. At least there was a little intrigue with the droids sent to attack Cloud City.

Pursuit of Peace: More senate talks about bank loans and deregulating the banks and loan interest and deregulating the banks and cost of war and deregulating banks. For 22 minutes long, this ep felt a lot longer. Take a drink any time someone says "deregulating the banks."

I think I know the one you're talking about. The one where the droids get chased around and have their memories wiped at the end. Yeah...It takes place at the same time as the Season 1 finale, that introduced Cad Bane (an ep that wasn't that great, either, compared to others).

I think there are a few other eps that kind of play it fast and loose with the time frame.

I remember feeling that, for a Jedi "rebel" Quinlan was under par. He had a casual attitude, but he didn't feel all that rebellious.

She asks him if he thinks she's bad, while wearing a backless, cleavage-showcasing top, then rolls her eyes with a "boys are all the same" remark. That is the definition of entrapment.

(I know I've used that joke before, but it's good enough that it warrants repeating, where appropriate).

And yeah, a couple eps around this time get REALLY boring and chatty. There's a gag on the Simpsons that fits perfectly well there...
